Recently Chinese enterprises show active integration of facial recognition technology into their products and services in which requires identification of the consumer for payment procedure or personalized services. Even now, Facial recognition services are quite commonly used among smart device users. Few years from now, tech enterprises implemented organism recognition system such as fingerprint recognition or facial recognition offering much more convenient and faster services to the users. The new technology also made consumers to have some sort of security which works as another protection layer from hackers.

Chinese enterprises are stepping further than that. They utilize the facial recognition technology as a password in payment. This purchase confirmation does not merely take place in individual smart phone but in some stores where installed self-ordering devices. Consumers scan the QR code and pick their choices. When it comes to the payment, originally they had to open the downloaded app such as WeChat or Alibaba to carry on the purchase, however now all they need to do is to show their face to the camera attached to the store device and it automatically completes the payment. Yet this prototype is equipped only in some stores, however the demand is expected to grow as it diminishes labor cost and provides innovative services to the customers at the same time. This may be the start of the ‘new retail’ corporations anticipated.

As facial recognition technology develops elaborately and gain credibility from consumers, it has great potential to be used in our future daily lives. Organizations and corporations are already trying to apply the technology in very different and wide field of business.

Nanjing University in Jiangsu province presented matching students with their personal information and analyzing their behaviors in class through facial recognition technology. The university explained the technology would save time and effort of professors to check attendance. Moreover, they would have better idea on how much each student has participated in class or how much have they absorbed the knowledge.

Utilizing the technology as a process of payment would not be the only case of replacing identification card. Chinadaily news has reported that Beijing daxing international airport would vigorously adopt smart technology and 5G technology to offer groundbreaking environment. The airport is applying facial recognition technology during checking in and out procedures. It is reported that the airport is striving to make paperless boarding environment.  Along with such new environment, 2019 world robot conference has launched suitcase following owners and even predicting the path. It recognizes the face and the voice of its owner and it comes along without pulling the handle or even encountering obstacles.

As such facial recognition technology is integrated and will be implemented on various business which generate comfort that we didn’t even expected to have. China is the frontier and the center of the changes. They confront uncountable challenges in developing those technology, however they earn and achieve as much as they face the challenges. Sooner or later it is not too much to say that Chinese advanced and innovative prototype would be demanded by over the world.
